Advent and Christmas

What’s going on at St. Thomas for Advent and Christmas? Here you can find all the information needed to join us for our services in person – or on Zoom, if you fancy a festive singalong by candlelight!

This year, the Church of England’s chosen theme for Advent and Christmas is Comfort and Joy. You can visit the site for reflections, app downloads and information on services you can watch from home at the following link:

Sunday 13th December – Carol Service

A carol service with a bit of a difference – as the congregation are not meant to be singing indoors under current COVID-19 guidance, the St. Thomas Choir will instead be performing a selection of beloved Christmas carols, accompanied by our talented organist and Director of Music, Simon!

Please note that this service is by booking only – it’s free! Bookings open on Sunday 6th December, and close at 9am on Saturday 12th December.

Sunday 20th December – ZOOM Carols by Candlelight

As we can’t sing together in person, we thought we’d try something new – meeting together on ZOOM from the comfort of our homes to sing carols together! Don’t forget to bring a candle – real or battery-powered, we don’t mind (but please do take care if you’re using real candles).

To join our ZOOM meeting, please send an email to Rev. Cat using the button below – she can make sure you’re sent the link to the meeting!
