What’s going on at St. Thomas for Holy Week and Easter in 2021? Here you can find all the information needed to join us for our services in person or online.
Open Church in Holy Week
We will be holding open church days on Monday 29th, Tuesday 30th March, Thursday 1st and Saturday 3rd April between 11:30 am and 1:00 pm, so please feel free to drop in if you’d like to spend some time in prayer.

Sunday 28th March – Palm Sunday
We’re starting Holy Week with a traditional Palm Sunday service, complete with Blessing of Palms. This is our first service back in Church since January, so we are once again operating a booking system for visitors. Please follow the guidance on the booking form.
If you can’t attend in person but would like to join in, please send Rev. Cat an email at firstname.lastname@example.org for a ZOOM invite!
Monday 29th March – ZOOM Taize Service
The St. Thomas Pilgrim Community invite you to join in on ZOOM for a beautiful Taize service during Holy Week!
To join our ZOOM meeting, please send an email to Malcolm Gibbs using the button below – he can make sure you’re sent the link to the meeting!
Tuesday 30th March – ZOOM Stations of the Cross
Join Malcolm Gibbs (Lay Evangelist) and Canon Chris Chapman online for Stations of the Cross during Holy Week.
This event will be held on ZOOM.
Wednesday 31st March – Eucharist
We will be restarting the Wednesday 10am Eucharist today. There is no need to book for this service, please just turn up if you’d like to attend.

Thursday 1st April – Maundy Thursday Eucharist
Our Maundy Thursday Eucharist in Holy Week will be held in person. Please note that due to COVID-19 precautions, we will not be performing the traditional washing of feet, nor will we be holding the normal vigil until midnight in the Church – we do encourage people to continue the vigil at home though!
Please use our booking form and follow the instructions and guidance there to book a place to attend – you may also book into our Good Friday Meditations and Liturgy of the Cross, and the Holy Saturday Vigil and Eucharist from the same form.
Friday 2nd April – Good Friday Meditations and Liturgy of the Cross
Join us on Good Friday for our meditations and liturgy of the Cross service, with meditations led by Archdeacon Rhiannon King!
Please note that this service is by booking only. Please use the booking form and follow the instructions and guidance there. You may also book into our Maundy Thursday Eucharist and the Holy Saturday Vigil and Eucharist from the same form.
Saturday 3rd April – Holy Saturday Vigil with New Fire and First Eucharist of Easter
Join us at St. Thomas for our special Holy Saturday evening service to start the Easter celebrations! Our Preacher will be Rev. Canon Michael Robinson.

Sunday 4th April – Easter Sunday Celebration Eucharist
Celebrate Easter with us here at St. Thomas by joining our special Sunday Eucharist! This service is perfect for all the family.
